When God calls us to do certain things, to follow His calling on our lives, He doesn't equip us beforehand, place us at square 1, and say "Alright, from here on you're on your own."
He keeps protecting us and keeps providing for us so we can continue to square 2, 3, 4, 5, and all the way till we reach the end, till we reach our final resting place with Him, till we reach an eternity spent at His side.
To have faith isn't only trusting that God will provide everything we need, but it's also being in prayer and in the Word to maintain a close relationship with Him. God already knows everything we will ever need in life, but He wants that close relationship with us.
He wants us to experience life in Him.
When we pray and ask for what we need, it shows faith, and God can work mightily in our lives through that. (Matthew 21:22 and 1 John 5:14-15)
When you ask, ask in His Name. His Name has power, and that power that raised Him from the dead is the same one that can give you everything you need as a child of God. (Romans 4:21 and Ephesians 1:18-19)
